Why Zipolo?

You pay more to check a bag round trip than to ship your items as a Zipolo member. You’ll get an email verifying your shipment is at the hotel in advance, so you can pack knowing that your gear has already arrived. Plus if you include clothing in the shipment, we will launder it for you. No more packing your bulky, sweaty running stuff when you travel.

Can I expense this for business travel?

Many companies consider Zipolo a reimbursable travel expense. It saves their employees from checked bag fees, provides them with laundry convenience, and enables business travelers to maintain their healthy lifestyles. How do you launder the clothing?

We partner with a laundromat that washes uniforms for Divison I college athletics and is used to handling sportswear. They also use eco-friendly products that are safe for the environment.

Do you clean the shoes?

We know that runners have strong attachments to their shoes. Therefore, we do not apply cleaning products to shoes. Instead, we store them in an environment that neutralizes odors.

What if my goods are lost or damaged during shipping?

Contact us at (support@zipolo.com) or 1-888-Zipolo1 and we’ll work with you to replace your goods or refund you based on the damage that occurs.

Where are my goods stored?

We’re located in Charlottesville, VA, a small town in central Virginia that is home to the University of Virginia and Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Our storage facility is safe and climate controlled.

What if something happens to the locker facility?

All lockers are insured up to $150.

How much can I store in my locker?

You can store up to 10 lbs of workout wear. Our website will help you determine how much that amounts to based on the types of items you want to store with us.

Can I ship hiking boots? Yoga mats? Bike helmets?

These are all great ideas and we’re working to make that possible in the future. For now, though, we can only store and ship running shoes and gear. Keep checking back for more information on this in the future.

Do you ship to locations other than hotels?

At this time we ship only to hotels in the continental United States. If you would like to ship to another address within the continental United States, contact us at info@zipolo.com or 1-888-Zipolo1. There may be additional fees associated with exception shipments.

What if I’m traveling to multiple destinations on my trip?

Some travelers elect to store multiple pairs of shoes with us so they can ship to several destinations within a short period of time. Others pick up their package at the first leg of their trip and drop it off for mailing at their final destination.

What if my shipment doesn't arrive on time?

We will ship your articles so that they arrive a day in advance of your stay and you will receive email confirmation that your gear has arrived at your hotel. If your shipment does not arrive on time, you will get a full refund for that shipment and your next Zipolo shipment will be on us.

What if my plans change?

You may cancel or change your shipment up to 7 days before your date of departure. If your plans change after that, we will not be able to credit or refund your shipping fee. If your package has already shipped, we will have it returned to Zipolo. This may result in a waiting period for your items to show up in your locker as available for your next shipment.

Do I need scissors or tape to seal up the package at the hotel?

No - everything you'll need to send your package back to us is provided in the original packaging.

What if I need to overnight a package?

Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge. Please call us at 1.888.zipolo1 to arrange for this service.

Can I ship anywhere in the world?

At this time Zipolo ships only within the continental United States.

How do I pick up my package at my hotel?

Every hotel is different. Some will have the package waiting for you when you check in. With others, you will need to remind them that you have a package and they will retrieve it for you. In some cases they may charge a small fee for holding the package or it may take them a few minutes to retrieve it. They may even offer to bring it up to your room after you have checked in. We recommend that you have a copy of your shipping confirmation email on hand to show them if there is any difficulty locating your package.

How do you pronounce Zipolo?

It sounds like Piccolo. And it’s all about getting you the things you need for healthy, happy, and hassle free travel.
